We are excited to announce the merging of two of Imaging Queensland’s leading radiology companies, Sunshine Coast Radiology and X-Ray & Imaging, heralding a new era of excellence in patient care and medical expertise.
This marks the start of an exciting journey of innovation through unity and collaboration to provide more options, more convenience and greater service provision to our referrers, our patients, and our community.
Sunshine Coast Radiology will soon provide 13 radiology practices across the Coast, from Beerwah to Noosa.
Sunshine Coast Radiology has been renowned for providing excellence in diagnostics since 2007. With successful growth and expansion across our service provision and locations, this unification will further improve our service offerings

PATIENTS
If you are going to an existing X-Ray & Imaging site, you can book via their direct bookings team at (07) 5436 0888 or via this website.
If you are attending a Sunshine Coast Radiology clinic, you can book with our direct bookings team at 1300 697 226, or via this website.
Once the X-Ray & Imaging sites evolve into Sunshine Coast Radiology, all bookings will be directed via our current 1300 697 226 bookings number or via this website.
All bookings post brand change, will remain.
Sunshine Coast Radiology and X-Ray & Imaging have operated under the umbrella of Imaging Queensland for the past few years, so all existing and upcoming bookings will stand.
Our bookings are managed through the same wonderful team and will continue to be into the future.
You will now have greater choice of clinic locations, with 13 sites across the Coast.
All your past medical records are safe and secure and will still be available and accessible.
Your records remain with Imaging Queensland and you can see these when you download the IQ Vue app.
All your historic images from X-Ray & Imaging will been transferred into the IQVue app, but will remain existing app for a period of transition.
You will be able to access the IQVue app shortly before the brand change occurs.

REFERRERS
We expect that this change will occur towards in May 2025.
We are aiming to make this transition as smooth as possible for all our valued referrers, patients and team.
We are integrating our systems to ensure that there is better service delivery to our referrers.
Your historic patient information and reports will still be accessible.
There will be new referral forms provided over the coming weeks and we encourage you to setup e-referrals direct to Sunshine Coast Radiology.
Our existing referrers to Imaging Queensland, through Sunshine Coast Radiology, IQ Radiology or Central Queensland Radiology should already have access to the Imaging Queensland Doctor Portal and PACs systems and we will look to assist X-Ray & Imaging referrers with their setup requirements, which may include:
- Setup of Imaging Queensland Doctor Portal – to access images
- Setup of e-referrals direct to Imaging Queensland
- Changing referrer settings in Best Practice or;
- Changing referrer settings in Medical Director
We expect to deliver progressively throughout April.

If you only have X-Ray & Imaging referral templates setup, you may need to be adapted to suit the Sunshine Coast Radiology specs.

Sunshine Coast Radiology offers e-referrals direct from Best Practice and we have a convenient step-by-step guide seen here that we can assist you with.
Referrers who currently send e-referrals direct to X-Ray & Imaging will need to reconfigure their settings to point to Sunshine Coast Radiology in preparation for the brand change. We can assist with this process.
If you already have a InteleViewer account with Sunshine Coast Radiology and Imaging Queensland, you won’t have to apply for a new account.
All historic records will be available in both the Imaging Queensland account and your current X-Ray & Imaging account.
We will provide X-Ray & Imaging only referrers with automatic access from their existing portal into IQ, where historic and new reports will be available. Our team will advise the method for this shortly.
