Euflexxa injections for pain management
A series of three hyaluronic acid injections for patients suffering from joint pain in the knee, hip, shoulder or ankle.
The Euflexxa injections work as an artificial lubricant to supplement the joint’s natural fluid that is otherwise diminished through Osteoarthritis.
By adding this lubricant, the affected joint will benefit by the cartilage being protected and the inflammation decreasing and therefore reducing the pain.
To accurately administer the Euflexxa injections, the doctor is guided by a CT (Computed Tomography) scan to ensure that the needle is precisely delivered into the joint.
There are three injections in total that are administered over three consecutive weeks to ensure optimal pain management outcomes.
